Oxide Games is currently seeking a full-time Tools Engineer to join our expanding team of industry veterans for work on a new 1st party publishing AAA IP game. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to multitask, and work comfortably with every game system and department.



  • Design, develop, and support tools for internal production and workflows, as well as create tools for use by external outsourcing art teams
  • Work closely with the art, engineering, and design teams to ensure tools are functioning properly and efficiently
  • Support and update existing tools to improve usability based on feedback
  • Create and maintain user-friendly interfaces for content creators



  • BS in Computer Science. Mathematics, or related field
  • Excellent 3D math skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of C++, C#, and other additional languages, including scripting languages such as Lua and Python
  • Deep understanding of the 3D pipeline across the entire asset lifetime – from Max and export to in-game integration


Bonus Qualifications

  • Maxscript and Mel familiarity
  • Familiarity with 3D graphics creation and model topology
  • Experience creating UI widgets for data structures and file formats (such as creating a WYSIWYG editor for XML)
  • 2+ years tools programming experience
