Oxide Games is looking for a Junior Systems Designer to join our team, working on a new IP AAA game with a first party publisher. Working closely alongside the Design and Engineering teams, you will collect and analyze a wealth of data to aid in making smarter, more informed decisions so we can make better games and gameplay features for an overall better player experience.


  • Translate business questions and apply statistical models and analyses to answer business and game design questions;
  • Create statistical models than can predict and analyze player behavior, wants, and needs. Additionally create models to optimize engagement, post-launch feature creation, and monetization efforts;
  • Leverage machine learning to optimize player experience and engagement. Additionally use machine learning to identify types of user created content and auto categorize the content based on content type, sentiment, etc.;
  • Leverage SQL and other programming languages to acquire data;
  • Compile reports and present findings for senior level management;


  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field;
  • 3+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis, or an advanced Degree;
  • Fluency in SQL or other big data querying languages, and experience with analytical packages such as SciPy or R;
  • Experience with advanced statistics (hypothesis testing, regressions);
  • Experience manipulating data sets through statistical software (R, SAS) or other methods;
  • Ability to work with creative teams, interacting with members across disciplines;
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and excellent presentation skills;

As a plus:

  • Identifies as a gamer and enjoys playing video games;
  • Wide breadth of knowledge of various kinds of games and game markets;
  • Experience in User Research;
